ਗਿੱਧਾ:-
ਗਿੱਧਾ ਰਾਗ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਲ ਪੱਖੋਂ ਵੀ ਸੁਤੰਤਰਤਾ ਦਾ ਧਾਰਨੀ ਹੈ, ਸਾਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੁਥਾਜ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ।
ਢੋਲਕੀ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਆਮ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਪਰੰਤੂ ਪਰੰਪਰਿਕ ਨਾਚ ਵਿਚ ਢੋਲਕੀ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਨਹੀ ਸੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ। ਮੂੰਹ ਦੁਵਾਰਾ `ਫੂ-ਫੂ’,`ਬੱਲੇ-ਬੱਲੇ’ ਕਰਕੇ, ਅੱਡੀਆਂ ਭੋਏਂ ਤੇ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਜਾ ਕਿਲਕਾਰੀ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਜ਼ੋਰਦਾਰ ਤਾੜੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ਼ ਹੀ ਹੁਣ ਦੇ ਸਾਜਾਂ ਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਧੁਨਾਂ ਉਭਾਰ ਲਈਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਹੇਠਾਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਮੌਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਕੁਝ ਕੁ ਬੋਲੀਆਂ ਪੇਸ਼ ਹਨ :
- ਸਾਉਣ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਦਿਨ ਗਿੱਧੇ ਦੇ, ਸਭੇ ਸਹੇਲੀਆਂ ਆਈਆਂ,
ਭਿੱਜ ਗਈ ਰੂਹ ਮਿੱਤਰਾ,ਸ਼ਾਮ ਘਟਾ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਆਈਆਂ।

-ਵੇ ਗੁਰਦਿਤੇ ਦੇ ਭਾਈਆ.....ਹਾਂ ਜੀ। ਵੇ ਦੋ ਖੱਟੇ ਲਿਆ ਦੇ.......ਹਾਂ ਜੀ।
ਵੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੀੜ੍ਹ ਕਲੇਜੇ........ਹਾਂ ਜੀ। ਵੇ ਮੈਂ ਮਾਰਦੀ ਜਾਵਾਂ........ ਹਾਂ ਜੀ।
- ਵੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੜ ਜਾਏ `ਹਾਂ ਜੀ’..........`ਹਾਂ ਜੀ’.........

ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਟਿਆਰਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਨਾ ਬੋਲੀਆਂ ਮੁਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਨਾਂ ਥਕਾਨ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਨਿਰੰਤਰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹ ਨਿਰਛਲਤਾ ਸਹਿਤ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਕਰਕੇ ਗਿੱਧੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦਾ ਸਰਤਾਜ ਲੋਕ-ਨਾਚ ਮਨਿਆਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ENGLISH TRANSLATION-

Vulture: -
The vulture is also independent in terms of melody and rhythm, not in need of instruments.
Although the use of dholki is common, dholki was not used in traditional dance. With the sound of 'fu-fu', 'balla-balla', slapping on the heels or squeaking loudly, the melodies like the current instruments are raised. Here are a few languages related to different occasions:
- On the seventh day of the month, all the friends of the vulture came,
The soaked soul, Mitra, came down in the evening.

- Brothers of Gurdit ..... yes please. Please take two citrus fruits ....... yes.
Oh my pain liver ........ yes please. Let me kill ........ yes please.
- Oh my gosh `Yes please .......... Oh yes please .........

In this way the girls do not lose their speech, they do not get tired, such a continuous flow continues with sincerity. That is why the vulture is considered the Sartaj folk dance of the Punjab.
